Executive Assistant

We are looking for a true team player who will help conserve the president’s time, promote the company culture and protect the corporate image by representing the president internally and externally. This person would be a liaison between the president, key executives, employees, clients, and vendors. The ideal candidate is highly trustworthy and thrives in an environment where juggling different, sometimes competing goals and objectives, is the norm.

Duties
  • Represents the President by reviewing correspondence, arranging client/vendor calls, answering questions and fulfilling meeting requests directed to the president
  • Helps the President and company leadership team establish strategic goals, set priorities, and collaborate on company-wide objectives
  • Arranges occasional travel and meetings by developing itineraries and agendas, booking other transportation, and arranging lodging and meeting accommodations
  • Enhances the President’s and corporation’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to create efficiencies in the president’s daily effectiveness and adding value to the company

Skills
  • Completes projects and special assignments by establishing objectives, determining priorities, managing time, gaining the cooperation of others and monitoring progress, problem-solving, and making adjustments to plans
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and responsibly without direct supervision
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills; able to speak comfortably over the phone

Brand Protection Coordinator

In this entry-level role, you will be exposed to the dynamics of trademark licensing and will see your efforts help to advance and protect the trademarks of our clients across North America and beyond. Duties
  • Learn about trademark law in order to defend our clients' intellectual property rights
  • Conduct online investigations; research vendors and follow-up accordingly to ensure proper enforcement of our clients' trademarks
  • Analyze and interpret data and information received/collected from various sources
  • Expand number of licensed vendors through enforcement efforts (phone calls, e-mails, letters, etc.)
  • Assist in management of vendor database, keeping data current
  • Track performance data on enforcement efforts and business growth
  • Strategize new and efficient methods for achieving success

Skills
  • Outgoing, tenacious, confident, and persuasive communication style
  • Highly organized, able to manage, contact and follow-up with steady stream of leads
  • Self-motivated, able to anticipate needs of the office and able to work independently and responsibly without direct supervision

Senior Full-Stack Software Developer

As a senior full stack software developer at Affinity, you’ll be key in the continued development and expansion of our core software platform and in the launch of next-generation technologies designed to revolutionize the licensing industry. This position has responsibilities encompassing our full tech stack, from technical infrastructure reliability to the development of new innovative features. You’ll participate in all stages of development and collaborate with our senior leadership team to solve problems and build innovative solutions.

Reports To Vice President of Technology
Minimum Requirements
  • Four-year college degree in computer science, computer engineering or other related technical discipline
  • 2+ years of experience with PHP, additional experience with other languages, like Go, Java, C#, or Python preferred
  • 2+ years of experience with JavaScript/Typescript, and familiarity with React
  • 2+ years of experience with Laravel, Ruby on Rails, or a similar backend "MVC" framework
  • Strong experience with SQL (preferably MySQL) -table design, query optimization, best practices
  • Experience working with stakeholders to propose and define requirements
  • Ability to transform functional requirements into specifications and functional features

Preferred Experience
  • 4+ years of PHP experience
  • Prior experience in a senior or lead role
  • Deep understanding of Typescript or another strictly typed language
  • Experience with Ansible or another configuration management (CM) tool
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines

  • Support, monitor, and improve our core infrastructure
  • Engage with our leadership team to design and build new feature concepts
